The Young Bull
Sometimes referred to as "The Grand Old Breed", Highlands are arguably one of the most majestic breeds, easily recognisable and despite the long horns and unusual appearance, the Highland cattle are considered an even-tempered animal.

Our cute little friends
Our Rock Pool Park Fold is relatively young, and a project embarked on to accompany our luxury accommodation offering. We have found our guests enjoy the peaceful meanderings of our herd and their offspring in the paddocks adjacent to the cottages.

Our Fold
Highland cattle adapt well in the varying Australian climates. Cold weather and snow have very little effect on them, and in their summer coat - although they appreciate shade - they are able to tolerate the harsh Australian heat. At Rock Pool Park we have subdivided the farm into a variety of paddocks with good pasture, water and shade, allowing the herd healthy grazing patterns though all the seasons.
As natural foragers, they are largely self-sufficient and require minimal maintenance. This suits our Rock Pool Park philosophy of relax and enjoy life.
